A custom trellis adds the ability to install flowering vines. It also gives a great vertical feature in the Winter when a lot of the surrounding plants are buried in snow.
Bristol Bluestone Site Before: An unused area of the clients yard that was used primarily for foot traffic.
The trellis is constructed with pressure treated lumber and fence panel. An outdoor mottled black paint was applied to the panels to dress them up. Sweet Autumn Clematis was installed beneath each panel.
This property is surrounded by fields which makes for a great view. By utilizing soft textured plants, the patio area complements the existing setting.
Conceptual Design for the terraced patio. This design focused on a rectilinear style while creating planting pockets throughout. By creating separate terraces, the grill location does not feel as close to the sitting area.
The perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee! Due to the South facing nature of this patio and protection from West winds, this is the ideal setting for most mornings.

During: The installed Bluestone patio prior to bed preparation and plant installation. A polymeric sand was used for the joints to help prevent weeds.

Each Clematis had to be disassembled and reassembled onto the trellis panels. The fence panel used is prefect for this vine to climb on.
