The existing site had a poorly placed concrete walk adjacent to the house foundation which made foot traffic slightly uncomfortable. By refocusing the front walk towards a new focal point, guests would have a more enjoyable experience on their way to the front door. This focal point would be a curbed planting bed with a custom cedar trellis. The newly installed trellis was emphasized through the installation of two freestanding seat walls. These walls also separated the private sitting area from the public sidewalk. Soft textured perennials and vibrant foliaged shrubs balance the muted tones of the paver inset while the darker banding picks up tones from the houses existing brick veneer.
