With an unbalanced, existing front walk, we were tasked to reenvision this front entry in a more contemporary style. Due to the brick veneer on the home, it was crucial to tie in that material into the paved areas. This was accomplished through the use of narrow bands running through natural stone dimensional pavers. What started as a long walkway from driveway to front door with minimal visual interest is now broken into multiple areas offering plenty to look at. The final ascent to the front door is now a stunning, appropriately scaled, stone slab stair system. Custom carpentry and specimen boulders are placed throughout for vertical texture and unified with a wooden bench and boulder combo. Long lasting perennials are a staple for this front entry to ensure year long visual balance.
